Manfrotto 055prob or 055CLB

Hi everyone , as i recently broke my tripod ( unbranded one ) i need to order new tripod . ~
within my budget there is Manfrotto 055prob . , but today i got offered Manfrotto 055clb with 329 rc4 pan head and manfrotto bag for £80 (is this a good price ?) - as i don't really know much about 055clb apart that they both support same weight . i would love to hear your opinions about them , and what is the difference - i want to use it for portrait photography and my poor husband wants to have a go on macro.

Not a bad price if it's in good condition. This model isn't made any more and the only price I could see was $215.

Not a bad price for the predecessor of the 055XProB, I suggest you grab it. It's only slightly lighter than the XPro which is a pretty heavy piece of gear.
It's a good tripod and will last you forever if it's looked after (i.e. Give it a wash when it's been in the sea etc.)

Why would you want another head? The 329 RC4 was a very nice and expensive head. It's now been replaced by the 804 RC2 which in MHO has an improved quick release system, but is still a damn good piece of kit which sold for around £100 when new. If you're getting the pod + head + bag for £80, that's a good deal.

Sounds like I bargain to me and looking at it the head should be pretty good, personally I would see how you get on with the head it comes with, if you don't like it then ask yourself why you don't like it which should help you find something more suitable.

I originally had the 496RC2 Ball Head which was okay but I found it a little trickky to position the camera as I wanted so then got a 372RC2 joystick head which I love, others have tried it and don't get on with it so it is a personal thing really.
