Lightcraft Workshop ND Fader II

I have been thinking of buying an ND filter kit for my ef-s 17-55 lens.I have a good idea of the Cokin kit capabilities and cost but have also been looking at the Lightcraft Fader ND Mk II filter.
My question is does anyone own one of these,is it good and worth the cost?
Any input appreciated.

I do not have one, but I remember it getting a favourable review. One thing, buy one for the largest lens you own or think you will own (ie if you plan to get say a Sigma 10-20 mm wide angle it is a 77mm thread) and use step down rings for the rest.
