Great entries, but I feel I've made a massive muck up with mine.....I wont say what, for the poll is still running, but lets just say it's obvious.....ahh....sometimes I get so lost in my creations, that I sometimes lose focus on the themes................

Congrats to Clickin' Girl on your Beautiful Snowflake image. You got 40% of the votes!
My vote went to jimmyosram - The Abbey
Iconic place. Works really well in B & W. The sky adds a great contrast too.
I got nil votes, hey ho.

Just to give you an update, Jimmy did receive a valentine's card from Lily and a chocolate heart!

Up pea24 - Isolated
Great minimal shot, but not enough wow factor for me.

Down wavemachine - Angry Sky
This shot works well in B & W. Great silhouette and composition.
Like the sun rays poking through the clouds and the birds add interest too.

Why not try my "Weather" comp at competition corner.
The prize is a print of the winning image.

A rush of last minute votes, but Clickin Girl managed to stay ahead. Congratulations on the win! A simple, beautiful shot, perfectly executed.

My vote went to Kerbside. Right from the start, it was obvious (to me) that that one was hard to beat. The view really pulls you in, and you (read I) keep looking along the bridge into the far distance. It grabbed me and it still does.

My ups and downs:
Up: Mark's beautiful little Sofie. (Mark is Cutter, for those new here.)
Felt a cuddle coming up, the minute I saw her. She has such a beautiful, slightly naughty look about her, that I was wondering whether Mark was whispering those 'naughty' words, that make toddlers laugh their heads off.
As usual it was brilliantly executed, and I was surprised it did not get more votes. I suppose, this week it was, somehow, not portraits people were looking for.

Below: Alfbranch's Tattly Caravan. I lked this one too. I'm rather a fan of 'dark' black and white shots, and this one was suitably gritty and fitted the subject perfectly. It didn't catch people's eyes though.
It is difficult to predict where the vote will fall, as photography, and especially appreciating other people's take on things, is for a large part subjective. So moods and maybe even the weather will mingle with personal preferences.

And that brings me to my own shot; "Too much to drink." This too, did not ring any bells; though I am convinced, almost all of us have heard the bell for last orders on a regular basis, and have suffered the consequences of overdoing it.
Maybe I confused people with my blurred vision? Doesn't really matter as I'm pleased with it.

Mark, I think this is going to be the third time, but thank you again for this particular theme. It brought on a new black and white frenzy on my part, which was very much overdue. I'd wanted to get back to black and white for a long time, but got constantly sidetracked, but I'm back on course now.

Well done clickingirl, a great shot and a well deserved win.

My vote went to Kerbside I loved the shot from the minute I saw it and loved the way it drew my eye into the fog.

Up - TwinnieE - Love

Ah so Jimmies been surfing the web for images then has he naughty Jimmie, I know how he feels whoops to much information ahem, what can I say cute, funny, nicely composed and very well shot another great addition to the collection and works really well in B & W.

Down - Andydo - No fishing today

I nice wintery image which portarys colde quite nicely to me, the tones work well although I think some of the detail is slightly lost in the trees so a bit of exposure compensation may have lifted it, nice shot though.

I think the standard was veryvery high and IMHO every one deserved votes so well done all.

Many thanks for the crit TwinnieE.
