Technically last night was not "full", but it was very clear.

It doesnt seem very sharp to me and it seems overexposed and lacking contrast.

Ex[posure is difficult to get right for thr moon.

Seriously? I only have a 250mm so the detail is not there, possibly making it look less sharp. The histogram shows no clipping, but is obviously way to the right. I did a fairly strong contrast adjustment in curves too.

Suggestions?

Not really as I struggled myself Cathus may have some ideas but focusing is harder than I expected when it I tried I would recomend manual focus in live view with magnification if you can.

I did manual focus, but did not try live view. Maybe tonight, it is nice and clear again.

The image dose seem to be a bit over exposed but as you say the histogram reads fine although if you slide the mid tones slider over to the right it dose improve the contrast . As far as the sharpness or detail goes I find that if you wait till after or before the full moon the angle of light will throw shadows from the craters and you will see a lot more detail , I have the Sigma 18-250 so it's nice to compare shots and nice to see the moon from a slightly different angle .

The angle of the light would make a difference, I did not think of that. I took one last week that looks better.
