Just a quick thumbs up in my opinion for DSCL Colour Labs.

I ordered on line on Sunday evening and the pics have arrived today, well packaged and in my opinion a great service should anyone else want something done professionally.

I used the lab as i wanted 4 pictures 6" x 18" and could not print them myself, however after a no hassle transaction and i think a fair price i don't think i will bother printing again, just get the lab to do it.

Cost £5.00 for the 4 photo's, £3.74 for the first class postage (you can have a cheaper postage rate.

I used them for the first time last week.

I usually get my 15 x 10 prints for the camera club comps from Photobox and haver always been happy, but am paying around £3.25 each. DSCL charge 94p and have the same quickly delivery time as Photobox.

So for 8 prints I can get them for around £8 plus postage as opposed to £25 plus postage, over 4 comps a year, that's quite a saving.

By comparison I sent 3 images to both Photobox and DSCL on the same day, they both arrived 2 days later, the paper is exactly the same, the colours were exactly the same. There was some slight loss in definition on one shot in a grass area but unless you had the prints side by side, I wouldn't have noticed.

Though one of my camera club mates says he won;t use them after he sent shots to them and one of them came back with blown highlights where they weren't on another print of the same shot.

I was very pleased with my comparison prints.

Cathus i'm glad you tried them out as i have always been happy. There is an option to have them touch up the prints and it does warn this lightens them. So maybe your mate chose this option. You can download there icc profiles here http://www.dscolourlabs.co.uk/quality_advice.cfm

Im undecided, Used them for the first time, Quick processing and Deliveery, But the Print isnt Great tbh, Under exposed by about 2 stops and over saturated in places, And a chunk of white border that i didnt ask for

Did you USe the Glossy or the Lustre they do, i had glossy but not sure about which to do

I had both, I usually have gloss on all my prints, the lustre looked OK, I don't have them to hand as I sold them though
