Hello, I'm new- Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks!

Hi,
I currently use Sony SLT-A77V with 16-50mm kit lens, and Sony f4.5-5.6 75-300mm DT.
I generally do wildlife, macro and equestrian photography, but have recently been lured into the world of astrophotography.
I would like to do star trailing, but I need a shutter cable release, and have no idea what to look for!
Can anybody help? Preferably under £20 if possible, with locking function, compatible with a77.
Thanks

Hi All,

I'm from the Philippines but my family and I now live in Australia. I'm quite new to photography and I am willing to learn new ways to take great photos. I just bought my Sony NEX-5N about 6 months ago and since that, I've been always liked to discover how to take great photos especially night and low light photography.

Hopefully I will share my photos with you as well, as I am also a busy, working Dad. But I always find things and ways to continue my hobby of taking photos.

Hi All,

I'm Martin and from Northampton in the UK. Been interested in photography since learning loads from my grandfather when I was 14. He'd converted his out-house into a dark-room and did all his own black and white developing/printing - with lots of dodging/burning etc.
Happy days - even though he did smoke while I "cried" all the time watching and learning!

Shot film until the D80 and then converted to digital. Now have a D7000 since it's early days, and learnt lots about it and it's "foibles". e.g. LiveView with Sigma lenses, Auto-ISO and flash, and how to really control U1/U2. To help distill what I've learnt I thought I'd set up a web site; www.everythingd7000.co.uk.

Just posted an article on Auto-ISO - after receiving lots of emails from people saying "I love it", but also a load saying "I hate it!".

What are your thoughts on Auto-ISO?

Regards
Martin
