red and Andy welcome to the forum. The more questions you ask the better IMO.

The best way to get comments is to post them in a thread on the forum and ask for comments especially if you are trying to get a specific technique right say what you are aining for.
remember to comment on other thtreads too. Dont be put off by the standard of other peoples photos as we all start somewhere.

Hi All,

I'm Jon, I'm 34 and I'm a snapaholic....oh wait, this isn't THAT place....
I am originally from the UK, but my wife and I moved out here to New Zealand nearly 6 years ago.
I've always been interested in photography, but I really started to get into it when I bought my first DSLR (A refurb Nikon D50) around 3 and a half years ago. I have recently upgraded to a D90, and while I would love a new 10-20mm lens, I am trying to get better at shooting with what I have already!

My main interests are street photography, macro, and abstract composition, but I take pictures of whatever I can! I will try and upload some shots when I get home from work.

Anyway it's good to be here, and I look forward to participating in the community!

Introduction

Hi I'm Jonny.

I've been into photography for over 10 years starting with an Olympus OM2n which I still possess and use (on occasion). My favourite films are Kodak Tri-x and Kodak Elitechrome Extracolour. My current DSLR is a Canon 60D with a Sigma 17-70mm lens, which is my everyday lens. I am saving for some better glass but I do also use a Canon 300mm prime which is great.

I like all aspects of photography but don't have a favourite genre or style. I enjoy entering weekly competitions as they give me motivation to get out and take photos with a purpose. My worst character trait is probably impatience which isn't great for a photographer, may be that's why I like photographing motorcycles and low-flying jets!

New here.

Hello everyone,
My name is Ian Richter and I've been seriously into photography for 3 years.
I use a Nikon D80 with an 18-55mm standard lens and a 55-200mm zoom. I also have a handful of other gadgets and filters that I use.
I really enjoy landscape photography and black and white street photography but I'm trying to spread into other genres to broaden my talent.

Hello All
I'm Ron, 63 years old and married. I've been using a camera on and off since I was around 13 or 14 years old. I currently use a Sony Alpha 350 and a couple of Sony lenes. My mobility isn't all that great these days so most of my shooting gets done from a mobility scooter. It doesn't hold me back much apart from walking for hours to get to the top of a hill to get a decent landscape. Getting around the problems that mobility issues raise is fun at times. I've soloved most of them by adapting my photo subjects to my abilities. Later I shall get some of my images onto the gallery.

Have fun gys n gals

Ron

Hi everyone! My name is Jack and I'm from Toms River, NJ, USA. Most of my work is split between landscape astrophotography and long exposure black and white. I've read the forum for a while and finally decided it was time to make an account.
