Coniston

A shot I took a few years ago. Amazing to see how much aircraft traffic there is over the Lake District early in the morning.

Fantastic sky I don't think I've ever seen so many plane trails before at one time .

The mist coming up from the lake is really nice but the foreground is a bit on the plain side , have you tried to crop a bit of the shore out just up to the first part of the water line to see if that improves it or not .

A good deal of the flights from North America fly directly over this area, particularly from California.

I like it and looks a little cool on the monitor I am using at work but it may OK or what you were aiming for.

Yes especially in the morning.

Neither have I. I did not set out to take them, just happened.

I agree with you that the foreground does look a bit plain, I'll try cropping it out and see if it improves the composition.

It was a very chilly October morning so I felt the cool colouring reflected that fact, coupled with the mist rising from the water. I tried warming it up but doing so it lost something.

Having seen at home I like it the way it is the exposure is nicely balanced.
