Question Printing with elements 10

Have just upgraded from elements 7 to 10 & am having problems with the program cropping & resizing when I have not asked it to. When the print option page comes up I normally untick "center image" & drag the picture ( say 7x5 ) to the top of the page to save wasting paper. However there is a blue box round the picture & if I click & drag the photo the box stays in position & the photo disapears past the edge of the box. I can click & drag the edge of the blue box to the top of the page, but when the print preview appears the photo has been cropped, mainly losing the sides of the shot. I have tried unticking the crop to fit box to no avail. If I resize the shot & print it from Organiser it comes out fine. Anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please.
Allan

Haven't got elements so can't suggest what you can do in there. What I can suggest is to open a blank document in elements created to the paper size, like A4 which is 210mm by 297mm, then open your picture and resize as required, then move the picture to the blank document and position as required. When you now print it should stay in the correct position.

I am used to photoshop CS4 and recently tried printing from elements 10, I have to say I found the interface really confusing compared to CS4.

Make sure the right paper size and orientation is selected in the Page Setup (accessed from from the Print dialog). Then, with Centre Image unchecked and the "Scale to Fit Media" selected, you should see how much of the paper you will be using - bearing in mind that an image that remains uncropped will not fit exactly any of the 'traditional' sizes of paper, or A-series (like A4) - there will always be some wastage. I'm hoping that PSE10 is similar to PSE6 in this regard, as that's what I've got (and I'm still happy with it!).
