Thanks to the people that voted for me, so long as i am not a 0 i'm happy.
Up -At the End
What can i say apart from it lead and the others followed. Knew it was going to be hard against such a good take.
Down - Waiting for the Tide
Dave. Good thought behind the picture but a tighter crop may of emphasised the leading line.

Mark, will take a look and see if i can remove the dust spot.

Voted for TwinniE: Hey Pink Fender, it is a classic shot for this theme and thought it was executed quite nicely.

Reinardina and DD, don't get too upset by the lack of votes, it really is very small differences to your images that would make a hell of a difference. A slight crop here, a straightening there, a small local adjustment to exposure, paying attention to composition. You are both so close, i don't think you realise how much you've improved, but keep persevering and you will get there.
And remember, even Mark doesn't get votes sometimes!

I thought the standard was excellent this week and it proved very hard to cast a vote. It's unfortunate that only one vote is allowed.

Cheers, Sie
Thanks for your nice comments Sie

Maybe it should be renamed as 'Cutter's Lane.'
Sounds very approriate to me.

Congratulations dan123. Loved this one from the start, and it got my vote. Beautiful bw scene, clean lines and just stood out for me. There was some excellent entries this week. Well done everybody. I felt that everybody met the brief. Thanks for a great topic Cutter

Thank you to dan123, hedgehog and ianpinion for your votes - much appreciated. And thank you for your comments too.

Up
Wavemachine: Stairway to Oblivion - Nice shot and good title. I think I might have played around with the bw filters (on camera or in pp) to either lighten or darken the grass area to isolate the rickety old staircase a little more. There is a lot going on. It looks like a great location though to try different shots from different povs as mentioned before.

Down
Hedgehog: Guitar - fitted the brief perfectly, loved the leading lines you captured here, but just wasnt keen on the edit especially the blue hands sorry. Just my opinion

This was one of our strongest competitions to date Keep up the good work peeps
