Well done Dan on a well deserved win, it got my vote.

Also a big well done to all who entered it was a very difficult vote as all the entries hit the theme bang on and were all of a very high standard, thankyou to TwinnieE and Pea24 for my votes it is very appreciated.

Up - Deena - Feline Friend

Lovely shots absolutely perfectly captured especially the detail of the fur texture and those wonderful eyes, mty only crit is the second shot of the cat's mouth and whiskers looked a little out of place as it was the only shot that didn't have a cats eye in it so maybe it needed to be pulled back a bit to include an eye.

Down - Cutter -Red Kite

Fantastic shot Mark lovely detail and a great sense of swoopy movement, although I agree with Pea24 it is one of those shots that is so stunning it needs to be seen in it's entirety to give it the justice it deserves. So maybe not the best candidate for the Tripytych in my opinion of course.

As always just my opinions.

DD I thought I would mention your entry as well, I nearly did something very similar with the rose and it was lovely to see your take on that, I think you did a lovely job with a great choice of background. There is a niggle with the overall balance of the shot which Pea24 mentioned and I agree this could be corrected in photoshop by moving the rose within the frames and using the clone tool tos construct missing parts of the stem. This is a very strong entry that so nearly got my vote so well done DD.

Thanks Dave. Some of the missing bits actually fell off, so i thought that more realistic. Every week on here I learn something new, thats why I love the comps.

Congratulations Dan! Nice take on the theme. I liked the idea and 'freshness' of the shot but I agree with pea in that I thought the first two shots were similar. However, nice detail captured especially in the kiwis. And i thought the black border worked well. My vote went to Pea's 'Trees in Floods'. I really liked the the detail in the trees, the balance of the three shots reallly worked IMO. Nice reflections and I just found myself looking at it for the longest time. Nice colours too.

Ups
dans 'kiwis and lemons' - see above

Downs
Wavemachine's 'Beauty' - Another favourite of mine. Vibrant colours, loved the touch of water droplets on the middle one. But i wasnt too keen on the double framing around each shot. Still loved the subject though.

Thank you to Cutter and kerbside for my votes. I originally wanted to do some kind of triptych with a flower but changed my mind at the last minute. Smokey was a patient subject and his fee was a tin of sardines

Thanks dan and wavemachine for my crits. I tried different shots for that top right image. but finally decided on the nose and whiskers. I tried to include the eye but it looked weird. So I know what you mean and I wasnt 100% happy with it. I was pleased with the colours and the textures though

Well done everybody this month. Good set of strong images. Looking forward to next month's theme
