Also, the cut edge will not be a contrasting colour. Mount board is made so that when you cut through a coloured board the cut edge shows a contrasting (usually white) band of colour. Thin card will be dyed through so won't have that effect. It will be so thin that it wouldn't be worth cutting at 45 degrees either.
Had a look at the device that Ether linked to
here's their web site I can't say I'm impressed with that tool. The ruler / cutter I linked to uses a channel that the cutter runs along for really precise cuts. It looks like the OLFA device will require a lot more measuring and a steady hand holding a straight edge to work effectively. Looks a bit plasticky too. You pays your money ....
