CR2 with Canon 60D

I have just upgraded from the 550D to the 60D.

My PSE9 will not open CR2 images taken with the new machine.

Is there a simple plug in that I need?

Apologies if this has been covered before.

According to the Adobe web site the Minimum Camera Raw plug-in version required for the 60D CR2 files is version 6.2 , so you could try updating your camera raw plug-in ( which is free ) or if PSE9 doesn't support the 6.2 version you can download the Adobe DNG converter ( again free ) which will convert any RAW file into a DNG file which can then be read by any camera raw plug-in .

PSE has support for ACR up to version 6.5. You can download the update from Adobe.

Thanks to all who have viewed and replied.
Problem was solved simply by going to PSE9 Updates menu and making a couple of clicks. I should have realised.

Anyway, a very merry Christmas and a super 2012 to you all.

Before PSE 9, you had to download the separate camera raw updates. It was nice when they included it in the built in updater.
