English Literature In my final year now, so scary! Going to do another year of uni after this though, postpone having to live in the real world for a while

Been out with camera today, been a while as been very busy (a while being a week lol). Went to Beamish Open Air Museum, hoping to take some dickensian style christmas photos but the sky was awful, there were too many people in 21st century clothes and not enough dickensian christmas stuff going on. I was quite disapointed but might try again betweek christmas and new year. There was a coupleof places I never got to visit so may fair better next visit.

Had a trip to the dentist after loosing a filling to a naughty curly wurly last week. I have a very very strong phobia so it was quite traumatic. The local anaesthetic was totally painless, the drilling was painless, the stuffing of the tooth was painless, and you know what...Phobia beaten - I think I have grown up at last.

Just have one more phobia to overcome, which I won't share on here for fear of being politicallyincorrect but if anyone has a burning desire to know what it is (and if they are offernded, that's their fault for asking lol), PM me and I willshare the phobia and the reason why.

Not much chat, hardly any entries so far! Where is everybody?

I know Mark is rushed off his feet at this time of year, but we're not all hairdressers, some of us must have some spare time to spend on here.

And a Christmassy photo can be taken indoors, I would think. So the weather is no excuse!

I have been going through my photos, and I think I have found the one I'm going to enter, but, as per usual, not a hundred percent sure yet!

Post it! Even if you change it, it'll be some activity!

Will do.

And can't you take a selfportrait with the reflection of fairy lights in those eyes of yours?
Could be a winner!

OOPS! Forgot you already entered! Apologies.

Still wouldn't mind seeing the reflection in those eyes though!

What does Christmas mean to you, Mark asked.

Well, to me it is all about love and friendship, being together with those you love, enjoying each other's company, in short: being happy.

Our Daughter is coming home for Christmas. Her 'coming south' (she lives/studies in Sheffield), is such a rare occasion, that I cannot even remember when she was last here. Approximately 18 months ago at a guess.
We have to travel to her, if we want to see her more often! Which we do; we love her and we love Sheffield, so it always makes for a lovely mini break..

The picture I have entered for this competition, is one I have used as a Christmas card for a very special friend.

It is a shot of our tiny Christmas tree, reflected in the window, against a winter (almost) sunrise. Bokeh and Christmas are, to me, natural 'companions.'

I'm in with this one:

"For a Special Friend."

HAHA, Reinardina, have you been at the Christmas sherry? I can't believe how flirty you are with Pea...lol....I can feel the blusing heat from his face from here! LOL. Reinardina, you old flirt lol. Love it.

I have an image in my head of the EXACT photos I want, but they will need to be taken on christmas day to be natural. I can 'stage it' sooner if I wanted, but not sure it would be quite the same.

I am hoping for some family christmas shots on the day, showing families doing what families do...Arguing, stressing, cooking, washing up, drunk, I love it haha!! Or there's Boxing Day when about a million of us all go to my sisters and its fantastic bedlam.

So alas, no entry from me until then.

No Chris, I'm stonecold sober, but Dave has gorgeous eyes! And I don't think he'll be blushing somehow.

I won't be taking family photographs as my daughter absolutely hates it. Poor me.
Last time I was allowed to photograph her was on her graduation day, and she's changed haircolour and style at least six times since then, so it doesn't really resemble her anymore.

Make sure that you take your shots before the bottle has been round too often, or you'll end up with blurry relatives and I don't think you can call that bokeh!

Have a good time!
