What do people think of this

What do you all think of this, ?

Pretty shocking i think, a student Forcilbly removed from a train as he didnt have the correct ticket, Should they really have been able to do this? And is this just beacause of the reputatuon The younger Generations have got (not wanted but been forced upon)

I think the guy is a total thug and I wonder if he would have been keen to flex his muscles if the student had been a big man! He had no right to take the law into his own hands and the student could easily have had a serious head injury. His face is grazed from hitting the platform face down.

I think it's great, if more people did stuff like this there wouldn't be half the anti social problems we have. It's because people do not face consequences that they think they have the right to behave exactly the way they want when they want.

The guy didn't have a ticket, he bought a one-way ticket the other way and thought he could get away with using it for the return journey.

He was asked to leave the train many times. He told the ticket inspector to F off and refused (don't forget, this incident was already going on before the guy started to film it)

Under common law the ticket inspector has the authority to remove someone from the train using sufficient force as is necessary, the same as if someone came into your house or garden. A member of the public offered to assist staff in using their powers under the law to eject someone from the train. He took hold of him, the guy started to struggle, the 'big man' used minimal force, to eject him from the train.

I disagree that he was thrown off 'just because of the reputation of the younger generation'. He was thrown off for his own very specific and individual actions, refusal to comply with a direct and lawful request and the contempt he treated the member of staff who was well within his rights to do what he was doing.

The guy should have paid for a ticket in the first place , paid the relevant fine when he got caught or walked home.

He deserved what he got.

If the big man gets arrested for this that will be one more reason this country has gone down the pan.

According to the guy who filmed it, the guy was effing and blinding for a good five minutes before he started the tape rolling.

As a side issue. The one thing that really annoys me about UK rail fares is the fact that a single is nearly the same as a return. For as long as I've used the train it has been like that. Never understood why.

Anyway, here's the guy who filmed it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HORo5yHHYg0

As a regular train user I have on more than one occasion witnessed the abuse the railway staff have to suffer at the hands of these people. On every occasion it has been young people so I have no sympathy with this guy.

And if, as he claims, he was sold two tickets for the same direction why did he not report this straight away to the station staff? I have to admit that I have received the wrong ticket from the machines on a couple of occasions but all I did was take then to the desk at London Bridge and they were replaced with the correct ones.

I agree with you Cathus, this guy was just chancing his arm and did not get away with it, which is why he got so abusive in the first place.

Hopefully the authorities will do the honourable thing and back the ticket inspector to the hilt.

It was another passenger that did it. Obvious, someone who was tired of this punk's attitude. If he really did make a mistake and gave the wrong ticket on the other trip, then if he had been NICE about it things probably would have worked out. Instead, he gives attitude and crude language.

According to a number of news sites he posted on his Facebook page about how hilarious it was. The unfortunate reality of the use of these sites.

Of course, you never know with the newspapers what is fact or not.

I think this is a classic case of why the news should do just that report the news and not put a spin on it to make it more newsworthy . I have watched and read several different reports on this incident and all give a slightly different bent on it , no wonder people don't know what to believe and end up filling in the gaps themselves .

no respect
the same as a lot of kids these days
i say kids when in reality he's a young adult who thinks he's untouchable they live in a world where they think they can do what they want and this is a prime example of it
good on the "big man" for showing him behavior like that isn't accepted

the two one way ticket situation is something he just spouted out because when he was asked where the other ticket was he wasn't for showing it

if the "big man" gets prosecuted for this it'l just send out the wrong message and give good reason why many others are not willing to intervene when something like this or worse goes on

just imagine there's a good chance that kids gonna breed
