I have not been around much

Aside from November being busy with birthdays in my life (Father in law, brother in law (same day as his father), brother in law's wife, close friend, my mother and my wife (today) ) I have been busy in the job hunt again.

My goal this time is to find a financially stable company that will not die out from under me.

The good news, I have had many interviews, one second interview and have another one scheduled for Friday.

One might think this would give me more time for photography, but you would be wrong. I did make it out once this month but did not get too many good shots. I thought I had some excellent deer shots, but he was too fast. The cool thing was the deer was a 5 minute walk from home in the city.

Again Don? Did the last company die 'from under you,' or are you now trying to find more security from the relative secutiry of your present job?

You never seem to have problems finding jobs, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for you finding a financially secure company! (But who can tell these days?)

Good luck! And Happy Birthday to all your 'Birthday People.'

Yes, again This was a little different. The company is having financial problems but I was hired by someone who was let go in layoffs. I was let go before I hit three months earlier this month. Three months is the "probationary period" in Ontario during which they can let you go for any or no reason.

I am just waiting to see what happened yesterday. If you recall I said I was working for a stock photo company. They were supposed to be purchased by Oct 31 but the buyers could not raise the capital. They extended to yesterday, but it is doubtful the deal closed.

I have a telephone interview this morning. It has a very vague job description, so I am not sure what to expect.

Yeah, I remember it was a stock photo company. I thought it was one of the big names, but apparently not?

Doesn't sound too hopeful if the byers couldn't raise the capital!

Very vague job descriptions also sound very ... vague I suppose. Maybe it is a go getter young company, that wants you to help start something succesful that could grow and grow?

Any way Good Luck! And keep us informed of your progress.

The purchase deal closing date has been moved to Jan 31. Still does not look good. They are one of the big rights managed stock photo agencies. The buyers are trying to raise the money on the stock market.

My interview was supposed to start 45 minutes ago. I sent an email to the HR person and she is looking into it.
