Poor turn out of voters for the monthly competition, where is the participation even if you have not got an entry in. Hope that the next month has a better following

Indeed a very poor show!

Maybe we could blame the time of year, and the confusion about the new site?

Anyway, Deena, congratulations and good luck with finding a new technique!

Fingers crossed figures will pick up in the new year!

Great win Deena, great shot got my vote and loved the cold duo tone effect complemented by the great lines and angle.

Up - Pea24 - Drianed

Lovely shot and nicely processed, very oldy worldy looking, felt it lost the Duo Tone effect to the right though where it drifts more into B& W, I love the texture on the top which gives it a crinkled aged look. Only other minor crit is the half of the boat on the left maybe a slightly different composition to include the whole boat.

Down - JimmyOsram Wave and Rocki

Brilliant dramatic shot and great choice of duo tone colours, you did a fantastic job with this shot had my vote earmarked until Deena came along.

As always just my opinion.

I thought all the entries were fabulous, shame the numbers were down on both entries and votes (whatever the reason) but hopefully that will improve with time. Bottom line is I have learnt and enjoyed a great new technique so thank you Jeff.

Looking forward to the next technique.

Thanks eveybody! Really appreciate it. Thank you to Cathus, Jimmyosram, karenoliver, nick_grey, pea24, and wavemachine for voting for me! My vote went to Jimmy's 'Wave and Rock'. Stunning landscape shot with beautiful movement in the water, and I really liked the colour, very rich but not too saturated.

Up
see above

Down
DD's 'A Step Back in Time': Great shot, and it definitely looked like an old photo especially with the sepia colouring. I also like that you've got some people in the shot. Definitely adds to the overall atmosphere. I first thought that it maybe needed a little more contrast but then it wouldn't have that 'old' feel to it, so decided against it. Nice shot.

I think all entries met the brief, and we had a good variety of colours. Thanks to Jeff for setting the theme.

I will have to have a little think about the new theme, but will definitely get back to you all before the 31st.
