Great timing to be in the place to capture Santa's "accident". I hope my son doesn't see this photo or i will get all the questions of whether Santa will recover in time for this year's present run! I appreciate with something like this it's the timing that's the difficult thing, but i can't help but feel that a viewpoint a little farther back might have been better.

Cheers, Sie
Thanks Sie. Much appreciated as always!

Congratulations Sie! A fabulous shot and a brilliant title. A deserved winner!

I voted for wavemachine's 'Multicoloured Tones'. A simple idea but bang on theme and very very creative ( I even tried it myself ). As a last minute entry I was very impressed. Sometimes the best ones are the ones you spend less time thinking about. Great shot!

Up
Ogri1st's 'Flowers': Nice effective shot. Love the simplicity of it and the white background. Two of the flowers are in focus sligtly more than the other two. But on the whole, a beautiful image. This was in my top 4.

Down
wavemachine's 'Multicoloured Tones': see above

Thank you to GUY1970, kerbside, and Siesmith for your votes. Very much appreciated. I had an idea for coloured pencils but Jeff beat me to it (great shot btw), and then I saw the pins on my kitchen noticeboard and thought I'd do a macro with shallow dof.

My other favourites were pea24 (loved the subject and angle), DD (excellent shot, really looked professional, the cream background wasnt a distraction at all, I actually thought it complemented the colours - well done!)

Thanks also to everyone for their nice comments above and to dave's (wavemachine) crit - yes, I agree, maybe a touch too dark.
