Deleted Image on Photoradar on Google Search!

Ok,

yesterday i have came across some local web page designer that found out about one of my pictures online "via google image search" and lead him to the picture in my Photoradar page, however "stupidity" as it seems from him he didn't contracted me for permission to use the image "even though i have a watermark signature" , thus i decided to deleted it from the gallery here and replace it with an smaller quality and resolution,

however, if you search for it in Google+ it will still gives the HIGH Res quality!! ,,,,

Can anyone let me know why????

Because he's not linked to your image but copied it, so having the full resolution image that you posted before. Hope you sent him a bill for use of the image.

Google caches the information so it's probably being served up from the cache rather than the Photoradar website

he's using it in A Commercial use! and didn't get back to me because it's posted here! I guess Photoradar should close off the "save as" and the view on large for them only!

Give them a big bill then. Really. Make it clear that they're paying for their own lawyer. But make it a BIG bill, now they've refused your reasonable offer.

Agree with greenwing, send them a bigger bill. He pinched your image without asking therefore he MUST pay.

Agreed .. you need to increase your bill - after all you have 'legal advice' costs to consider

If the person who has stolen your work is trying to claim that it was fine to do so because it appeared on the website, make sure you refer them to our terms and conditions, which states that the copyright belongs to you.

Specifically this paragraph: "You continue to own the copyright in any Content you upload, post or otherwise transmit to the Website, but you automatically grant other users of the Website and the Website Service the right to access the same and use it in accordance with these Terms."

Hope that helps and you get the response you need from the thief!

Amy

Of course, all that we've said is valid in the UK. How much notice anyone in Kuwait will take of it is perhaps another thing.
