First Issue

Ok, so I've had the first issue arrive in the post today and I must admit that at first glance it seems quite refreshing.

What does amaze me though is that they ahve readers participating in it before it is even launched.

It always amazes me how issue 1 of every mag seems to have reader's letters in it

I like this three editions for a fiver offer, but it appears that some people have forgotten that like it or not we are in the European Union. I have to pay 59.99 up front for a years subscription. No testing it out for me, simply because I live in Spain!!

I'll buy an issue or two off the shelf first to see what it offers. If it is promising I will subscribe.

I bet the participants of the training are coming from the sister mags, and they are being used as filler for the first issue?

I quite like N-Photo's first issue. It's got plenty of interesting reading and tutorials, and all that. However... most of it is quite generic. If the editor did a global substitute from Nikon to <some other brand>, there wouldn't be a lot more to do to change most of the mag to the <some other brand> magazine.

I quite like it as a magazine, and might replace one of my other subscriptions with this one. The Nikon speciality is a bonus, not a built in.

I missed the subscription deadline for the 1st issue so i have my 3 for £5 starting on issue 2. I thought it was supposed to come out on 24th November so am surprised some people have their's already - do you think it will be in the shops (tesco/whsmith) now too?
