Hi Chris

I don't come on here much, but I'll add a comment as that is why you posted your image, I'm a nice man (so i'm told) but I'll rip the picture apart, I hope that you don't mind, I am sure you will not.

First off all what is the image trying to tell the onlooker? have a look again and try to look into the photo and ask yourself: What am I trying to convey in this photo?

I can see a wall, grass, a stump and a new shooting twig.

The stump is on a 1/3, but that's about it, there is nothing of interest in the shot.

I know how you are feeling though (smile), you have bought a new camera and your all excited and you wanted to get out there in the lovely sun and you have also spent some hard earned money, and in the end if you like your shot and it makes you happy, well that's fare does by me, me old mucka.

I guess it's close to home, so get out there another day and lie on your belly, perhaps a bunch of flowers somewhere with a memorial stone thrown out of focus in the background, perhaps a teddy bear where a child has passed away in black and white, becareful in cemetaries, grave yards though, you'll end up upset, been there and done that and deleted all my photos from that day.

Keep trying baby, you'll crack it mate.

Rob

PS. anyone can have a go at any of my photos by the way, this is how we all learn.

Rob

HAHA thanks Rob. Can't get down on my belly sadly, but never mind. I didn't want to include personal items from dead children (or evn adults). I likes the textures on the stump and the contrast from the wall.

I learnall the time amd even a week after taking a shot, I look back and see the mistakes.

Take a look at some of my other shots and se what you think.
