Got a few ideas brewing, so as soon as I knock off on Sunday it will be all hands to the shutter button!....

I have a fantastic idea for an entry that's right (quite literally) up Jimmyosram's street (his neck of the woods in Northumberland in a village called Narrowgate). I have no car this weekend as hubby is replacing the brakes, so can't get up there, but its an 'olde' story I want to share.

There's a pub called "The Olde Cross" (bang on theme). It is famous for it's dirty bottles in the window. The dirty bottles have been there for two centuries, since the day the innkeeper died while placing them there. Superstition has it, that whoever tries to move these dirty bottles, will be cursed with bad luck and the widow of the poor man who put the bottles in the window claimed that whoever touched them would be sure to die soon after. For this reason the window has never been cleaned.

I would love to get up there, take some photos of the pub, the pub sign, the window with the dirty bottles (if you can see tham as the window hasn't been cleaned in 200 years!!). Gutted the car is off the road this weekend.Darn my little Audi TT and its dodgy brakes!

Better off the road for replacement, than because they failed!

Pub sounds delightful! I'm sure you'll manage to get it in one of the competitions; with a bit of creative license, you can adept the shot to a whole load of themes!

I didn't even know about it till I asked my hubby a question about a pub, then we got talking and he mentioned this one. Must get up there on day soon. Mine may have to be a still life as I can'tgo farwith no car. My hubby has a classic mini but thattoo is off the road at the minute! Daughter had an accident in hers 2 weeks ago and its awaiting repair too. Nightmare time with cars at the minute!

By the sound of it, I was lucky I had to give up my license when I lost my sight!

Didn't realise your eyes were bad enough for you to not be allowed to drive Reinardina.
