Nicely contrasting trio of shots - really like #3 for how you've made the lens distortion work for you

Thanks, Mark :-) Number 3 was made using a fisheye lens which really enhanced the area underneath the bridge.

It's number 3 for me as well Karen.

Love the shapes and curves of the iron work and the fisheye really works well with it .

Hi Robert, thanks :-) No its not stitched at all, I took it from the top floor of the Hilton Hotel in Manchester, through a huge window. I wasn't a guest, we just went up to make the shots ;-)

Thanks, Mark :-) I love my fish-eye, never thought I would use it much as I do when I first got it.

Hi, Karen. I have visited Manchester for only one night, on my way from Betws-Y-Coed to London. I had the impression that B&W would be perfect to photograph Manchester and you recovered exactly that impression to my memory. Unfortunately we didn’t have time the next morning to make photographs. The 2nd photograph reminds me also of the Greek city where my father was born and the 3rd is also a nice example of urban engineering. Nice work. Kisses. αR

Thanks Mark :-)

Thanks, aRitsos :-) I only live an hour from Betws-Y-Coed, its a gorgeous place, certainly quieter than Manchester! :-) Hope all is well with you, I saw Greece on the news last night and it looks quite stressful there at the moment!

Great shots Karen - love the depth in the contrast. Great lines in number 3, but are the highlights blown a little? Check the central building's roof in the distance.

Hi, Karen.
My visit at Betws-Y-Coed was really interesting. The nature there is very beautiful. We took a nice walk to a lake close to the village for some hours and afterwards had a nice meal, venison with a sauce. I remember that after sunset we played billiard in a pub. That was long time ago. I have to see my slides to remember more.
Downtown today is hot, street photography at unexpected conditions. This will pass. Usually at the news things are shown more dramatic.
Do you have photographs from Betws-Y-Coed? I would like to see some.
Bye. αR
