Sorry if you didn't like or understand our comments. At least we made the effort to look and comment, no one else has bothered sadly.

I am interested to know the story behind the photos. They are a very unusual, abstract look at life using people that would not normally be photographed. All I meant was I wasn't sure I understood them. Your signature says If you can't feel what you're looking at, then you're never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.

I did have feelings when I loked at them, just didn't understand the feelings. What where you trying to capture? Who are the models? Where did you find them? What story are you telling?

I was very surprised when I first looked at them but they are growing on me. I keep going back to look at them again and again. They are, actually, a very, very unusual set of images. Please don't be sarcastic when people have made the effort to look and comment. It's rather rude.

As for being rude... cause and effect. If you think saying 'what the ???????' and 'nice shoes' or 'I don't know what to think?' are reasonable comments deserving of a reasonable answer that's just great... I however find it very insulting... not to me but the person within the images.

All I do is make portraits with people in my local community, for example these portraits of Julie, who has to deal with stereo types, pre conceptions and judgements forced upon her every day... she finds some solace with her birds, that she has tamed and forged a great relationship with.

If it was a topless woman on the sofa or an old man holding the bird the reaction to these images would have been markedly different and for me that's a huge problem.

I met Julie a few weeks ago, she works in local charity shop, as I was walking back home from photographing someone else in a certain street we bumped into each other and she asked me what I was up to, I explained and asked if she would like to be involved.

Since then, like with most all of my subjects we've become friends.

Thanks for the explanation, and it has given a clearer understanding of what you are doing. I admire people like you who go for a different approach and as i said, it fascinates me. I like stuff thats different too and an currently doing a project about different textures placed on a face to see how it alters perspective of the face. At college they think Im a little c razy but, to be fair, a lot of artist have a little craziness which gives them the edge. I really am interested in your project and apologies if we got off on the wrong foot. Will visit your link with relish.

No problems, it's easy to get off on the wrong foot sometimes, just as long as the next steps in the right direction
