Talking

Well done to Reinardina on your winning image.
I would have voted for it had I seen the cropped version.

Thanks for voting Jerry WSL and keeping me out of the nil club this week!

Up
Evening Take-off by Cutter
Another superb shot by Mark, lovely tones and capture. Nearly got my vote but I voted for
Watch Out Mr Wabbit by wavemachine as it made me smile ;o)

Down
Coastal Walk by jimmyosram
Great leading lines and focal point. Well taken and composed.

Another great week of entries.

Well done everyone, for putting in some great entries for what i thought was a difficult theme (well, i didn't think it was hard until I tried to come up with an idea :-)

My vote: went to Work in Progress. I thought this was a great shot and loved the fact that you were brave enough to take it (intimidating situation at the best of times). I also liked the wider crop. Well done Reinardina!

Above: Watch Out Mr Wabbit
A great set-up and spot on theme. Good, humourous image and got plenty of votes. Well done Dave.

Below: Looking Up
A beautiful shot deena with great lighting (love the cat's fur) and a lovely composition. Technically this was very good and was in my top 3 for a vote.

I also liked Cutter's Evening Take-off which was a magical moment with great depth and atmosphere.

New Brief.

Thank you all, for your kind words. I'm thrilled to bits, especially as it is a shot that is way out of my normal comfort zone.

I've been thinking (happens occasionally) and I have tried to find a theme for the next competition that everyone can join, whatever their preferred genre. Dan, you too should be able to get something. (Congratulations by the way, photographically speaking you seem to be on a high, well done!)

The new theme is posted HERE

Well done Reinardina on a great win, great shot.

Although the entry count was lower than usual this week the standard was really high and I had a tough job choosing, in the end I voted for Marks - Evening take off as I thought it was a stunning shot that was full of atmospher and great colours besides I am a sucker for a great sunset piture which it most definately was. I also loved deenas, Reinardina's and Twinnies.

Many thanks to cariadx, dan123, deena, jimmyosram, TwinnieE for my votes and to Pea24 for his kind comments.

I had the idea almost immediately but wasn't sure how I was going to do it and TBH it was more of a fun shot, in the end I went out and took some moving car shots, displayed the shot on a 32" LCD TV and then carefully positioned a toy Peter rabbit on a pile of DVD cases in front of the TV. I thought the backlight on the TV also added a nice glow around the rabbit.

Ups and Downs

Up- WODM - Tree silouhette

Nice idea and a good shot only crit is the composition I would of maybe panned to the left slightly more to use the other bit of tree to try and make a frame around the people but nice shot nontheless.

Down - Pea24 - Light the blue touch-paper and stand well back!

I really liked this idea and the shot, as usual everything spot on, loved the colour, it conveyed a great atmosphere (I could almost smell the smoke) but for me I wanted a bit more in the image on the right, I almost felt robbed of a great picture that is my opinion and you can beat me around the head with my own reflector if you don't agree
