Sea of Tranquility

I'm a big fan of intentionally dark images but I know that they are not to everyone's taste. I offer this shot of Howick Scar, Northumberland up for critique. OK, I've assumed the position so off you go

I dont have a problem with a dark image if like your shot it adds to the atmosphere .
I think it's a great looking shot .

Its nice jimmy, got some mood to it, Just 0one thing, to the right of the sun youve got some flare or Water on youf filter and it shows in the shot, might wanna Clone it out,

Lovely photo and great contrasts Paul. I like the circlular light in the rocks, which echoes the light in the sky.

BTW. The smaller image doesn't show in Chrome, just a broken image icon, but strangely it does show in IE?

I must say I like the effect the lens flare gives .

All sizes of image show in firefox .

I absolutely love the picture, but I always look at pics like this and wonder what those shades of grey would look like in glorious sunrise / sunset technocolour! the I'd be interested in seeing the colour version of this as well Paul if you'd be willing?

Thanks folks. Yeah I left the lens flare in there and removed some in the lower right of the shot.

Colour version wins it for me Jimmy. The splash of colour balances the mood of the blacks.
