I got windows7 and photoshop from http://www.software4students.co.uk/

You don't need proof to buy them but you will need a scan of your student card or any other proof such as college letter etc... in order to register it. Adobe just ask for a scan of your student ID.

I get updates for windows 7 and adobe PS with no problems at all, both are student editions.
