Urgent query

Adobe is offering Lightroom 3 @ half price today only. Is it worth getting? I have Elements 9 at the moment and am wondering if it makes a worthwhile addition.

I had an email about it, ignored that and went straight to the Adobe UK website and it is a genuine offer for today only.

Opinions please!

I have been thinking of buying it, although I can get it for £64 ( student price) Do you know anyone who is in college , school or uni? If so you can get it at student price. I have heard nothing but good reviews.

Thanks Karen! I am tempted as it does seem a bargain, unfortunately no students amongst family and friends.

I still have a couple of more hours to consider before entering the credit card details, LOL

Like you I have heard good things but I am still getting to grips with elements. On the other hand even if I don't use it at first it is still there waiting and I have never seen it at that price before. Mmm, decisions, decisions!

I have been using the 30 day free trial and i also have Elements 8, both are good, cant decide to get lightroom at half price or upgrade elements. I have been informed that if you buy a student version of lightroom you do not get any updates. Dont know how true that is. Can anyone confirm that

OK, decision made and card details entered! Getting boxed rather than download. Thanks Matt, you tipped the balance

I think if you go to the Adobe UK website they offer "Student and Teacher" versions at a cheaper rate. You need to prove you are taking a course before they give you the code to unlock the programme. It would be much cheaper for you as you are doing a course. Talk to your tutor!
