Editing for Jessops printing

Have been recently slightly disappointed with prints from Jessops. After spending a lot of time editing and cropping I find that the finished prints always arrive darker than I'd like. When I asked in-store they suggested down-loading the Fuji Frontier 360 printer profile but I would like some help in finding and using this profile in either CS4 of Elements 9.
Any suggestions welcomed.

Is your monitor calibrated if it isn't that could be part of the problem as the colours may look fine on your display but not print, also I tend to find prints will seem darker anyway as the monitor is backlit and the paper is not, also different types of paper will produce slightly different results.

The other consideration is that some printing services apply automatic "Enhancements" to your images which can undo any changes you have made so you may want to check this with them or use a different printing service.

I tend to do prints myself as and when I need them but have in the past had batches of photos produced for xmas cards etc at which time I used Tesco and to be honest had no complaints for the images I used.

I know this issue has caused some debate here in the past and hopefully others who have used third party printing services can offer some advice also.

With regards to the fuji frontier profile I don't really see that you should need to apply this to your editing software as the colour data from the image should be correctly interpretted.

When converting to a Profile in CS5
Edit ~ Convert to profile~ then therel be a drop down menu with the colour profiles in,

Never used jessops, but its such a complicated thing getting prints right, Many say to adjuct your monitor Brightness to the prints you get then re edit,

Could always try DS colour labs, Havent done me to bad, the odd iffy print, thats it,
