Great win Mark and of course a great shot, I really struggled with my vote this week which was between DD, Mark and TwinnieE in the end it went to TwinnieE as I felt the two heads in the three of the thirteen and the unlucky for some was a great take on the theme as well as it being a well executed shot.

I thought the standard this week was very high which I believe was reflected in the spread voting so well done all.

Many thanks to Cutter, dan123, jimmyosram, kerbside, Reinardina for my votes.

I enjoyed taking my shot which I did in the first attempt believe it or not, actually that is a complete lie it took a lot of attempts trying to catch a decent angle on the card mid flight and when I did catch it I had accidentally pushed the other cards back in previous attempts so had knocked them all out of focus. Still a lot of fun to do though.

So ups and downs:-

kerbside - Crane No 30

Really nice idea and great shot, lovely blue sky, lovely angle and great detail on the crane maybe a minor boost in contrast but other than that nothing to add.

Beancounter - Weighty Numbers

Lovely idea and great shot well executed great DOF, the only things I am not sure of are the choice of focus point I would maybe have tried the 3rd weight in and positioned it so the 25 was fully visible as this would have given a soft 25 in the distance, the other thing is maybe a different background colour to give a heavier contrast against the weights.

Both great shots and of course just my opinions.

Looking forward to the next theme and thanks to Twinnie for a great challenge.

Well that should shut the wife up LOL when I said I was taking a photo of the bin for the comp she said " well that confirms it you have finally lost the plot, Who's going to vote for a bin, you will be lucky if you get one vote". cant wait to tell her LOL.

Thanks to all that voted for my picture, I looked at it as a piece of art really, but cant explain why, I Knew what I wanted the picture to look like before I took the shot.

My fav was Wavemachine Playing the game, loved the effect given by the card and the overall exposure was spot on with some nice colour too.

A close second was DD , great composition and focus, the only thing i didn't like was the overall colour and the dark edges. Sorry DD

Thanks Twinnie for making me think a little different , Great Theme

My Up DD Saduko see above

My down: The price of seamen is: couldnt fault the image, great focus nice texure and nicely framed, just didnt rock my boat as an image. Forgive the pun

I loved Deena's as well great focus and a nice use of DOF, nice work D

I have a theme in mind but dont think you will like it , However it is all about learning to see in your mind what you want, and then trying to make it happen.
And I am sure that would help all our Photography skills, and thats what this forum is all about (learning and improving)

Guffaw ......................

Not sure I can do much over the next 3 weekends. I'm in Blackpol this weekend from Friday till Sunday (late) drinking and basically being a disgrace! Had no intentions of taking camera. Next weekend I fly to Tenerife for a week, and the next weekend fly home. Won't have internet (I don't think) so can't post entry. Might squeeze something in if I can but Im saying now,b efore the theme so you don't think I'm a chicken for bowing out.

Will do up/down in a while, after I have eaten.

We are doing a mix of things. We have a spar afternoon (sophisticated), visiting a german beerkellar (not so sophisticated) and going on a pub crawl (not sophisticated at all). So I am very adaptable.

I might be really REALLY naughty and stay out after midnight!!!

Well done Cutter on your winning pic. Great shot again! Who'd a thought a pic of a wheelie bin would win!

Thanks everyone for your entries, difficult to vote this week as they were all very good.
I voted for Gutter Cutter because I liked the starkness and simplicity of the shot.

Thanks to cariadx, pea24, wavemachine for voting for my pic.
I live at number 13 and this is my car parking space. It's been lucky for me so far. Touch wood.

Down no Up, because I was first!

Bit of a gamble this shot! <Pun Intended>
Great idea and well captured. Like the reflection too.

Looking forward to the next theme, hope Cutter doesn't tax us too much.

I really enjoy being part of this forum, taking part in the weekend comps and meeting new photography friends.

I believe when you are at the top your up is the last entry, the idea is that each entry gets two crits then.
