Airline Carry on Hand Luggage Camera Help

Hi all,

I am looking for a bag that i can use for carry on hand luggage.

I want to take my EOS and 2 lenses + Flash and other bits and pieces and also use the bag for my other items for the flight, Phone, Keys, Passport and reading material etc.

I have been looking at the Kata 3IN1-11 I know they are good quality but a little heavy at the same time 1.5kgs. I only have a 5kg limit and don't want to be slapped with excess luggage charges.

Any suggestions on a suitable bag that could be a little lighter?

Cheers,

Si

I've taken my lowepro slingshot with no problems. I even put it inside another rucksack, and carried more stuff in it.

I wouldn't worry too much about the weight of hand luggage - they never check it. As long as it's not too physically large, it will be fine.

I have a tamrac adventure 7 rucksack but this is about 1.5kg too. You can buy just the padded inserts and use a bag you already have.

I have flown with the Kata 3in1-20 with no problems. I had my 450D with battery grip, kit lens, 55-250, 50mm, charger, couple of filters.
