Yes

and

no.

I use the following methods on my 550d, but it's no different to any other Canon/Nikon etc dslr that I know of.

I use a dry method with an Arctic Butterfly from Visibledust that creates a static charge on a specially constructed brush. If that fails then I have a lenspen from sensorklear and if that fails then a wet clean may be necessary using a sensor swab from visible dust. I also have a Rocket blower.
See here

Rick.

Be careful I decided to take mine apart properly because I couldn't find the dust and ended up scratching my focusing screen with a screwdriver because I was struggling with a retaining clip. Luckily i got a new one quite cheaply but it can be tricky. I'd try the air spray cans.

Good luck. I wouldn't try them. They might just spit propellant where you don't want it.

I agree. The less disturbance within the camera body the better. Using a dry method is the least intrusive or dangerous. If it's just down to loose particles rather than sticky grime, the static charge method is such a simple yet effective solution.

I would not recommend sticking a screwdriver inside your camera body unless you have a very steady hand, know what you're doing and have the right tools for the job.

Rocket Blower each time it needs it. NEVER use compressed air.
