Long exposure shots

Hi Guys,
Would appreciate some feedback on the 2 pictures below. They were taken in Florence and Venice. Any tips for improving them in Photoshop would be welcome too. Thanks.

Interesting user name ?

You've got some beautiful locations here but the shots full a little short for me .
The first one has three great elements to it but they all feel to cluttered , the poles could be a great lead in line but they end up covering the main building . The gondolier is a nice touch but it is cut off front and back , the building it's self is lovely but it's dominated by the posts and the overly yellow white balance .( the colour cast can be sorted out in photoshop )

The second shot is a lovely wide angle city scape but I feel that it has been cropped to much off the bottom .

Sorry about all that but these are just my thoughts .

Mark

HAHA very interesting name, I sussed it out immediately.

The first one I feel is a little over exposed. The full gondola would have been a better comsposition for me. Really like the posts.

The second one, I agreeas above that it is too tight a crop.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the responses, I'll have a go at changing the colour of the first image in Photoshop. I can see what you mean about the cluttered picture too. Also - with the crop, I had to crop out a wall that was in the shot, which is why it's so tight.
