When people are saying auto they mean the sports settings as well. This is one of many auto setting on your camera. This setting will speed up the shutter speed.

Ah cheers, i assumed the middle one on the dial which is "full auto".

No, I meant the full auto (green square), that's why I said 'auto' and not 'sports settings'.

Well i didn't mean you specifically Matt thats why i said 'people' and not 'Matt'. Ok I will reword it, wodm i recommend you try the sport setting too.
