Not the photo I will be using [an old photo!] but just a practice run to see if I am getting it right.

Is there a way of improving contrast in the greyscale? Or is it a question of taking an image with strong contrast in the first place? I've never tried this before so it is a brilliant theme and I used my first layer!!!

This is a simple yet very effective little trick. I am made up i found out how to do this
I have had a fiddle with a couple of old pics of a ladybug on a footpath and my little lad trying to tie his older brothers school tie.
will post them as soon as flickr finishes getting its massage lol

Will have to get a new photo specificaly to use for the comp.

The whole point of why I stareted the monthly comp is for us to learn a new technique each month and look at us all...Weare all having a go at something new! I'm so pleased I started this. Here's my 2nd try..again an old photo so just a practice.
