I was only in the subscription version ...;-)

I'm in "Hotshots" in November, which is nice.

Hooray!
I too was attracted by the rectangles/cubes; simple and stylish. It seems to be an acquired taste, but I'm glad I'm not the only one to appreciate it.

Thanks Nick.

Cheers Dan, the Hotshots entry is the December issue, out mid November. Hotshots in DCM is usually the readers photos at the beginning.

Just wanted to say thank you. I was totally surprised. I really didnt expect to get one vote. To be honest it was a bit of a rushed job at the last minute. Maybe I shouldn't think too much next time

DD - I'm in Greece at the moment (about an hours drive from Athens), as my sister and her family live here. I'm London based but I do come out here quite a lot to see them , hence the meditarraean feel to the photo.

I will do my ups and downs tomorrow morning. Some great entries this month I must say.
Thanks again.

I knew it has that med feel. I can't wait for Tenerife on 5 November. Yaya a bit of winter (well Autumn) sun.

Great theme.

Above: Markulous - Wait
Beautiful photo of a beautiful dog. Those eyes make a great subject to pop especially as the dog has nice light fur. No sure how it could be improved... maybe a more stiking dog pose and maybe remove the lead. Very nice though.

Below: wodm - Where's the ethernet, Bob?
You spotted potential in the familiar tangle of cables and nicely popped. I guess the subject matter means it's not going to compete with some more 'photogenic' entries.

Others I particularly liked (although all entries were a high standard): Hotel Room, It's for you!!!!, Abandoned (great win deena), Red!, Pop Circuit, Tenby Lifeboat House (got my vote), the Gaze, etc :-) So many great shots.

Thanks to those of you who voted for my shot.

OMG I forgot to thank the people who voted for me. Sorry, and thanks. Ihave just been bowled over with the quality of entries and the interest in the monthly comp. Long may it continue and I'm really excited about the what new technique will be for next month.
