Only a thought. Nice action pic however of everyday workmen, like it.
Thanks Jeff. Never thought of that! (I always rely on other people to 'see' the possibilities of my shots.)

I was fascinated by these guys, watched them for at least forty minutes, and took quite a few shots. This one is the best, I think, because the reflection shows how the window is held by the crane etc.

Theres a great shot there somewhere Markulous, his eyes are a lovely colour and it really lends itself to this technique but I feel like the lead and hand distract too much. I have a dog myself, Bert, and I know how difficult it is to get good shots of them. Great subject, tough getting it right, good luck.

Being a newbie on this competition, what are the rules regarding entries?......Do entries have to be taken during the month or can you use any pictures from your portfolio.....

I tried colour popping for the first time today, after seeing the tutorial on You Tube.......this was my result...the original shot was taken weeks ago though.

It's alright Reinardina, just leave it. I think it is quite funny and I am sure a lot of us on here have been in the same state

I have to agree with Pea that the unsaturated, subtler version is actually nicer although it won't be my entry. Plenty of time to keep looking for a good image and practising the technique.

Some very good images been shown so far. I thought it was a shame that Nick's fungi wasn't eligible because it worked very well, agree the stalk needed to 'pop' as well. The dog's eyes are fantastic [sorry, I cannot remember who posted that ] and I liked DD's buckets. Also liked her sepia retro image and although not greyscale I thought it suited the image better than the greyscale version.

Now I have had my first attempt at layers I have ordered a book from Amazon to teach myself more

Can I personally thankyou for setting an amazing theme!.....I have never tried Colour Popping before, mainly because I didn't know how...but since following the link you gave to a tutorial I have been going "Popping" crazy.....lol...I had to adapt the Photoshop tutorial to my X4 platform which wasn't hard.

I have now learned a new technique....cheers Jeff!!.....
