Dorset landscape workshops - Oct 2011

Evening all

On Friday 7th October and Saturday 8th October, I'm running two landscape photography courses.

They will each run for the majority of the day starting at 0830AM until sunset. Cost is £65.00 each excluding any meals but includes all transportation during the day.

Three people on each day although the Friday already has one taker.

My wife and I are in the UK for two weeks as of this Wednesday. I thought I'd take the opportunity to do a couple to test the waters before the full blown ones next year.

Nice, the light is Pretty Good at the moment, Getting some good Results, i now the next few weeks will be the best, i assume youll be doing plenty of scouting aswell then

Well, I lived in Salisbury all of my life until last year, so 35 years.

I know the coast pretty well down there and have my favourite spots that I like to go to:

Chapman's Pool
Corfe Castle
Kimmeridge Bay
Clavel Tower overlooking Kimmeridge
Worbarrow Tout
Durdle Door/ Bat's Head/ Man O War bay
West Bay
Portland Bill

Inland, I like Kingston Lacy, Knowlton Church, Bulbarrow Hill and up on Pilsdon Pen.

I've been to Eggardon Hill but found it a bit of a pain for parking.

Still, there is enough in the above to keep things going. I've also looked at tide times for specific areas as I have a plan in my head.

Last time I was at Pilsdon Pen, I stood for a good hour or so on a freezing morning water for the mist to move. Apart from a slight break for a few minutes, nothing happened!

Luck of the draw with this business!

In April, I did find a beautiful bluebell wood in Dorset. Covered with them and on a slight incline. Amazing possibilities in there.

Also did Golden Cap the day before. That was freezing stood on there waiting for the light. Still, I was graced with some nice light that morning.

What you do find is that each person in a group of like-minded people usually feeds off of one another. Even the teacher will find things.

Bluebell wood, Not langdon was it, just underneath golden cap, Shud be going pilsdon this week to get the mist, if the cond are right,

I agree i could see it being usefull, cud see people learning lots from it,
