Hi,

There are no plans to ditch the forum in favour of Facebook.

We are planning some substantial changes to the site in the coming weeks, which I'll be able to give you more details of soon I hope, but the forum is an important part of them.

Well said DD . This forum is great and could be even better if we all make the effort especially in the 'critique' section. It CAN be frustrating if you post a photo and nobody comments on it. I try to give my opinion on what I 'see' and it may not always be right. But once in while, someone might take these comments on board and say 'hey, she might have a point there'

I do not want to sound too skeptical, but we have heard that before and nothing ever happened.

Something will happen! I can't guarantee everyone will like it (that being the nature of internet forums) but you'll definitely see changes.

Out of interest, what changes would you like to see to the forum functionality only?

Easier to upload pictures for critiquing?
Integrated galleries in the forums?
More user-moderators to run the show?

I think I can speak for everyone when I say EASIER TO UPLOAD!

My opinion is that the functionality to allow direct uploads to the forum be turned on, that is by far the easiest solution.

As far as moderators go, we had a enough, but due to the decline in the overall quality, some do not seem to visit as often as they used to.

That's a bit better!
Sorry to sound cynical, but I think it's because POTY closes in a couple of days. The site has in the past become more active/slowed down during the last few days before final submissions and then again when the winners are announced.

All of them. Plus one more: dialogue with whoever can make changes. None of this "pop on, make a post or two then disappear off to Facebook" - we've seen this just recently with Marcus.

Can some of us (that's not me volunteering lol) not become more involved?
