Canon 28-70 f 2.8 L or Canon 24-105 f 4 L is

Hi Guys

I was looking for peoples opinions.Im looking to buy another L lens In the lower zoom range.I was looking at the canon 28-70 F 2.8 L or the 24-105 F4 L is.Im torn between the is on the 24-105 and the F2.8 on the 28-70.What would everyone else go for honestly Any opinion is apprecieated.Thanks

Hi I am great believer in trying things out have you considered renting these lenses and giving them a try or going to a shop and trying them there. That way you can see the results and get a feel for the lens too.

I have the 28-70L f2.8 at that thing is sharp! You could buy the newer 24-70L but it'll cost you a heck of a lot more.

24-105 seems to be a love or hate thing from what I've heard and read.

I've been asking the same question for the past month!

I've decided on a 24-70. I've used the 24-105, great lens just wish it was f2.8. The ideal lens would be a 24-105 f2.8 L... I remember reading that it hasn't been made as would kill sales of the 24-70 and the 24-105 (weight would be increased too).

What type of photographs will you be using the lens for?
