Nikon d5100 lens issue

Hi
I recently purchased a d5100. Great camera , but 2 weeks later just noticing a slight "kick" on the lens when its closingafter each shot.
anyone any ideas whats causing this?
Iam using the 18-55mm,and also the 55-200mm zoom. it happens with both.

If its happening with both its more than likely the body. Is this only just started to happen?

As in the image in the viewfinder moving to one side about a second after the shutter button is released? That's the VR turning off and parking itself.

Welsome to the forum.

Pleasure to help you, Shug. And it's good - if a rarity these days - to see someone return when their question has been answered. Thank you for that.
