Not sure what you mean by camera raw.......I will go look it up on google. I love learning new stuff..stop press..Im downloading it no, hope my netbook is up to it!!!

Chris, have you tried downloading Google's Picassa and using that for doing your basic adjustments in? It's surprising how much you can actually do with it when it comes to tweaking your images.

Actually I meant that you can open jpg files (rather than just RAW files) in the Adobe Camera RAW plugin to use its editing features, but I'm guessing you don't have Elements Chris?

I use Picassa to straighten images and pixlr to edit. No elements, my son says my netbook desn't have enough memory for it. Maybe I should look into it, he may be wrong,as the trial I downloaded worked ok.

Tried GIMP but it's confusing to use and the photo I'm dediting is too tiny to work on in GIMP.

I might spend a night getting my netbook sorted, deleting old or unused stuff to see if I can free up any memory.

The best way to free up memory is to look at the programs that have icons in the system tray (the area on the bottom right of the screen). Those show some of the programs that are currently running in memory. If you have lots of little applications which aren't essential, then I'd uninstall them
