Hi Mark, for me, the lipstick is very off putting, but out of the three I think that I prefer the third one. I think that it's because it's all in colour and this helps take the focus off the lips. I also like the way the hair is whisping up.....

Hi Mark,

I quite like the first one although I can't really put my finger on why. It's got a sort of 'hand coloured' look to it and the composition is great. The edge distressing might be a touch too heavy.
The second one I think is definitely OTT. The third is my favourite, although the lip paint is slightly asymmetric which I find a little off putting.

On the whole, nice control and well executed.

I have to ask, given your day job are you extra particular about a model's hair when doing a shoot?

This type of photo is not my "thing", but I prefer the first one of the three. Not sure why.

I think the third looks best, but agree that the lipstick doesn't work. She has nice lips, but the small painted lips spoil that. Lovely shot otherwise. Great hair

Mark, I'm not expert but I will tell you what I 'see'. I think the first one suits the make up more than the other two. I also like the framing in this one. I think it's maybe cropped slightly too much on the elbow and the hand. I really like the 2nd and 3rd shot but without the make up. (Sorry!) The hair is amazing in all of them (of course ), but spectacular in the 3rd. The shadow on the right hand side of her face is a little distracting but I still think it's a stunning shot.

As mentioned, the makeup suits the first shot. A shame as the last composition works well (and I'm not really a fan of selective colour)

Hey guysngals thanks for all your comments, the idea behind the shoot was to be unconventional with the makeup and the overall shot, especially the the second which is my favorite. I guess in the end its wether they suite your taste.

Chris thanks for saying no2 is OTT thats exactly what I wanted it to be .

I like all of the photos..no.1 is very punky, which is so me and reminds me of last weekends Punk Festival in Durham which I attended (bet thats surpised you). The second is a cross between Siouxie and the Banshees and Evanescence, and it's a great moody fashion shot and my favourite. The 3rd one is my least favourite but still packs a punch. Well done Mark.
