Hi there,
(I wanted to say hi, but couldnt find an obvious forum to use for it - so sorry if it's not in the right place.)
I've just plumped up the readies for a new Nikon D90, bought at the airport on the way to Prague.
Hopefully this is my first step on the road to becoming a fairly decent photographer.
No doubt I'll likely be pestering everyone with questions relating to technique, etc (I've been reading the Digital Camera mag over the past year, on and off).
One of the shots I took in Prague is
This one. It was shot on full auto, and the jpg is the unprocessed jpg produced by the camera (although I do have the RAW file, so once I am more happy working with the raw's, I can play around with the file to see what I can do to improve on it).
It does just show what the difference in quality is going from a basic compact, up to a dSLR. I'm no expert by any means, but the quality of images changed immediately on buying the camera!
