Crop advice .......

Shot from tonight and the Heliopan 10 stopper. I'm really loosing my mojo with what the crop should be on photos. I guess we all go through phases like this.

Anyway, comments/advice on the crop etc. please. Cheers

To be perfectly honest, I think I'd leave it as it is. I personally think the balance is right. Foreground interest is there and it's nicely exposed. I dont think I'd change it.

I've been looking long and hard and I don't think a different crop would make that much difference . If you wanted a letter box style crop then I think you would have to re-shoot but to me the square crop that you have looks great and that's coming from someone who prefers the letter box look .

Hi Paul

Only my opinion, but I prefer a letter box look and would have cropped it as below. Also, I've taken out the fence and red thing on the right which drew my eye away from the scene.

For me, another good photo.

Jimmy. Why do you think there is an issue with this?

The only thing I would say is to use that 10 stop sparingly otherwise your photos will just have that same theme running through them.

However, I think in this case the 10 stop adds to the serenity.

I like the shot, but I'm not sure about how you could improve on the crop. I also like Rog's crop but feel it's missing something on the bottom left hand side. Both versions are still very nice though. IMO.
