Kilve, Somerset

Here's somewhere I really want to go back to, Kilve!

This beach on the edges of the Bristol Channel is a goldmine of seascapes. I took this one last summer on my old 350D.

Is it missing anything? Yep. It needs more shadows on the rocks. And the background is a little messy but there's not much I can do about mother nature.

Jools I think you have just about said it all
But with a bit of photoshop you can give nature a helping hand .
One other thing is the horizon , is it suffering from a bit of barrel distortion .

Yep. Barrel distortion is there if memory serves. It was a 17-40L on a 350D camera wise. More than likely it was around 17 or 20mm but I haven't looked at the EXIF data.

Processing wise. I haven't touched this in over a year. Things have moved on for me processing wise, so I could whack a bit of punch into it.

With stuff from my old camera, I tend not to revisit them as the libraries I supply don't accept images from the 350D.

Still, that's no excuse!
