Hmm... I'm not that impressed with the examples of photos picked (sorry Marcus) but here's a photoradar technique page on motion blur. This page (found from a quick google search) seems to be quite a simple guide for the amateur like me. Bit too ealrly to study up on now though!

Have some ideas already, can't wait to give it a go

Welcome aboard - this is something I have never tried, so it's gonna be a huge challenge for me. I picked something new to me to make sure I would learn it.

I wanted something challenging and like I said in the entries thread, if we post our entries in here for mid comp critique, we can take on board the advice and go improve our shots.I don't think this will be anything like the of the weekend comp but it will still be fun and hopefully a great challenge and learning curve.

Have to agree with that. Had a go at it recently without too much success.

This is a chance to read some tutorials, have a go, post the photo, receive crit, then improve. Im pleased with my idea of a monthly technique competition, and just hope it takes off. have fun, learn and most of all, enjoy.

We have a whole month, will probably not be as busy as a weekend thread.
