Peter Jackson

I've just learned that Peter Jackson died suddenly on Friday. Very sad news for all of us who have come to know Peter over the years.

His wife wanted to let everyone who knew him know.

Both Flickr and CC have the same sad news.
Peter was a true gentleman who spoke his mind and was always helpful. A moderator on DCM he helped me throgh the mysteries of Forum life on there.

Sincere condolences to his wife, family and his nearest and dearest.

That is really sad and as Abbers said Sincere condolences to his wife, family and his nearest and dearest.

Never met Peter but enjoyed his comradeship on DCM and I am quite shocked at how empty I feel on hearing this tragic news

My condolences to his family and friends. He was such heartwarming nice person and always helpful. Even if I did not have much contact with him, his presence will be sorely missed.

So sad to hear that news as Peter was indeed a helpful contributor on the old DCmag site - sympathy to the family.

I arrived in the office this morning to find a stream of sad emails infoming me of Peter's death. He was a big character and he'll be a real loss to the photographic community. The team's thoughts are with his family at this time.

I was saddened to hear of Peter's death. He was lovely to talk with on the occasion that he'd phone up, and he was such a gentleman when he emailed with a question or suggestion. He was always quick to complement and very supportive. His emails made me smile. My thoughts are with Peter's family and his friends.

My thoughts are with Julie, Peter's children and the rest of his family.

He was such a good bloke. Whether you agreed with him or not, he always gave a considered view on life and had no prejudice. I became quite good pals with Peter over the years and I'm shocked and saddened that he won't be around anymore to chew the fat with.

A huge loss to this community. He really will be missed by all.

Ben
