Pond:
"an area of water smaller than a lake, often artificially made"
a duck pond

Lake:
"a large area of water surrounded by land and not connected to the sea except by rivers or streams"

According to the Cambridge online dictionary.

Lakes can also be artificially made by the way, just think of former gravel pits etc.

Sie has been very generous, and allows us almost any stretch of water, as long as it is not the sea.

So good luck to everyone.

Ahhh....when I saw the title I thought..."Great I could go hang outside a court and photograph the rioters...or their parents".......but hey ho....lol

Wont be entering this weekend as this time tomorrow I'll be pitched up in my tent on a Stag weekend in Achiltibuie....hiking, fishing, bbq'ing and boozing. Will have my camera with me so if I get any decent, non offensive shots, I'll post up a gallery.....

I'll be back Sunday night, so able to vote.

Good luck folks, look forward to your entries!!

You're quite right Reinardina, I've been on hols, as well as having quite a bit of time taken up with golf during Summer. I've still been looking in and voting even when I haven't entered the comp.

Sounds like a perfect scenario for a pondlife shot. Have a good weekend and go easy on the hiking, fishing and bbq'ing!

I plan to only do the poll later on the Monday evening, so you will have most of Monday to enter a shot, if you so wish.

Cheers, Sie

I'm a bit of an amateur here, but there was something in that shot of yours that spoke to me. I just love the treatment and the muted colours.
