Google+ for Photographers

Hi!

Has anyone tried the new social site from google yet, Google+? So far i'm finding it decent place to meet other photographers and share a wealth of information, full of industry types from all over and techy people. It has a nice lightbox feature which i guess stems from Picassa and information/photos can spread extremely quickly over the network.
Do people value social sites for photography? I've always found Facebook not as open to connecting with people that aren't old school friends, i guess it's great for receiving "happy birthday!" messages.

Someone invited me to it, but I deleted my account because I couldn't be bothered with it.

I'm already on Twitter and Facebook and and couldn't be bothered with another social network
